Siri Embla - Printable Reality | The White Wall
Siri Embla is an international freelance performance artist with a long history as a performer, with a wide range of skills such as acting, physical theatre, dance, improvisation, singing/songwriter, video-poetry and clowning. She trained at Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (Contemporary Performance, WAAPA), Baardar Academy of Musical Theatre in Norway - a year-long training ensemble with master improviser Al Wunder (theatre of the ordinary) and has also trained with Ira Seidenstain and the I.S.A.A.C (International school of acting and clown).
Siri's work experience ranges from Clown Doctors to big musical ensembles like Chess (2006) and Les Miserablès (2003). She toured the devised multimedia poetry theatre show "Lovers Walk – A Poetic Journey in 8 Scenes” together with Gus Simonovic in Europe (including Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2011) and New Zealand. She also instigated the physical theatre ensemble ”The White Wall", which performs kinetic poetic improvised site specific theatre pieces on a regular basis in Auckland (First Thursdays K’rd, InVoice & Music – Wallace Arts Gallery, Whitespace Contemporary Gallery, Prana Festival 2012). Siri was a previous vocalist in Macombee & The Absolute Truth, headlining New Years Eve at Prana festival 2010. Played in ”Amanda Fra Haugesund” (2011) and «Helter» (2012) at Haugesund Theatre. She works for Printable Reality NZ, devising new theatre and fusing it with dance and other art-forms. Her most recent work was Insomnia in a Daydream, which she choreographed/directed as well as performed in and toured NZ 2013. Most recently, Siri joined the team of Clown Doctors, providing smiles and laughter at Starship Hospital in Auckland.

Siri Embla also has a great passion for the wellbeing of others and is trained in healing modalities such as massage, aromatherapy and reiki. She is also a qualified yoga teacher and HypnoBirthing® instructor and is the director of The BodyTree.
